Loved the friendly counter staff! I had one of their specials, The Eye of Sauron, which was a spicy strawberry mocha (decaf/iced)... delicious!! They serve Messenger coffee. I didn't get a chance to sit and work on the Wi-Fi like I do in most coffee shops so I'm not sure how it was. Atmosphere was no-frills but relaxed.

An old high ceiling building with wooden floors a few doors off of the historic Independence square. Main Street has been around a few years and I've always popped in on those rare visits to the downtown area. Yesterday I ordered off the seasonal menu and had The Eye of Sauron - a spicy strawberry mocha iced. Obviously I'm not into science fiction / fantasy since I had to ask what is an Eye of Sauron (it's a reference to The Lord of the Rings for my fellow nerds - or in this case non-nerds). I was a bit taken back by the spicy peppery bite with my first few sips, but half way through I was loving it. They use Broadway Roasters for bean sourcing. I also loved the friendliness and willing conversations from the two baristas behind the counter. Excellent customer service!

Main Street Coffee House is always a treat. It's my go-to coffee shop in Independence. One of my favorite things about it is the atmosphere. It still has that nostalgic, warm, and inviting early 2000s coffeehouse vibe. This is the kind of place where you can sit with friends and talk for hours. The drinks are always delicious. I've tried both coffee and chai, and I haven't been disappointed.

We stopped here for the first time the other week. We were in the area running an errand and popped in to grab coffee and breakfast. It has a very laid-back chill vibe overall which was nice because it was early and we weren't in a very talkative energetic mood. The staff was super nice and we both ordered cold brew. There were a few other tables of people and it wasn't too crowded. We were hoping to get some food but didn't see food on the menu, and we were so tried we didn't even think to ask if they carried food beyond a couple of pastries in the pastry box. After we ordered and got our coffee, we noticed one of the tables had trays of food they were enjoying. We were in too much of a rush to go back and ask about them having food or double checking the menu. Overall our drinks were good and it was a cute spot.

Pretty laid back spot if you want to drink your coffee, enjoy a danish, & relax throughout the day. There's an outside sitting area along with plenty of seating inside. Some board games, magazines, & books to enjoy during your visit. Service was fast & friendly. Didn't rush & even gave extra cream cheese for our bagel (after joking about liking plenty of cream cheese). Danish was flaky & warm, definitely felt the crunch. Blueberry bagel toasty & not soggy, served in a "cute little plate" from what she says. Most definitely requires a second visit.

Main Street Coffee House was a relaxing spot for an afternoon coffee break. The friendly barista helped us decide on a treat from their seasonal menu. The Magically Delicious was a fun (and not super sweet) latte featuring Lucky Charm marshmallows!

Was not excited about my 2.5 hour wait at the Courthouse, so I dropped in and got a coffee and bagel to kill the time. Great customer service, clean and the coffee was amazing!!

I just stopped into Main Street Coffee House and ordered a Chai Latte. The business was slightly busy, but after I ordered my drink was made in a very short time. From my observation they seem very efficient and my Chai latte was perfect. I noticed they do have bring and lunch sandwiches but I didn't try them. From what I see, I imagine the sandwiches would be very good. Next time I come here, I will try the grilled cheese sandwich. So if you find yourself near Independence Square and need a coffee or breakfast/brunch, I would recommend this business.

Love coming here. Friendly service and a great atmosphere. Seasonals are in so I go after pumpkin this time of year. I will say they make other good regular drinks. The food is good. They make a breakfast sandwich with hard boiled eggs which is different but good. Reasonable prices. They also serve lunch. Have a small front outdoor space, inside, and a small back patio as well.
